BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – A St. George man was killed Saturday night in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Highway 27 in Ridgeville, according to the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office.
The victim has been identified as Alexander Gordon, 78, who was operating a 2012 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when it left the right side of the roadway and struck a barrier wall. Gordon was the sole occupant of the motorcycle and died at the scene.
The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office was notified of the incident at 10:08 p.m. on April 5. Berkeley County EMS, the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, and C&B Fire & Rescue also responded to the crash.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate.
