
BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – One person died and another person was injured following a Berkeley County crash that occurred Friday evening four miles west of Goose Creek shortly after 6 p.m.
Berkeley County Coroner Darnell Hartwell identified Glynis Washington, 49, of Goose Creek as a driver killed in the crash.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Washington drove her 2016 Honda CRV east on Hwy. 176 as the driver of a 2018 Toyota Tacoma traveled west on the same road.
At some point, the two drivers collided at the intersection of Hwy. 176 at Radcliff Rd.
The driver of the Tacoma was transported to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
Berkeley County EMS, the Berkeley County Sherriff’s Office, Berkeley County Coroner’s Office, and Central Berkeley Fire & Rescue all responded to the scrash.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office are investigating.
