BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – Berkeley County officials have announced that construction crews will be paving multiple roads on Monday, May 12, and Tuesday, May 13, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, as part of ongoing local infrastructure improvement efforts.
The following roads are scheduled for resurfacing during this two-day period:
- Lexington Place
- Manchester Court
- Harrow Place
- Foster Creek Road
- Kersey Terrace
- Marleybone Court
- Deben Court
To ensure safety and traffic flow, lane closures will be in effect around the work zones. Flagging operations will be in place to maintain at least one open lane of traffic, and flaggers will be stationed throughout the routes to help manage vehicle access in and out of residential areas.
Officials are urging residents and drivers to follow all posted construction signs and electronic message boards in the affected areas. Additionally, residents are asked not to park on the streets during paving hours to avoid delays or complications with the resurfacing process.
This work is part of the county’s 2024 Once Cent Sales Tax Resurfacing Project, as well as the 2024 American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Local Roads Resurfacing Project, both aimed at improving road quality and safety across the region.
