BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – Drivers in the Goose Creek area should plan ahead this week as a major railroad crossing will be temporarily shut down for repairs.
On Thursday, May 15, at 6 a.m., CSX Transportation will close the railroad crossing at Liberty Hall Road to repair a crossing surface defect. All lanes will be closed, and no traffic will be allowed to cross the tracks until work is complete.

The closure is expected to last until Friday, May 16 at 8 p.m., though officials note that all work is weather dependent and could be delayed by inclement conditions.
