BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – Mark your calendars and grab your IDโ€”Cypress Gardens is rolling out the welcome mat for Berkeley County residents on Saturday, June 14, offering free admission all day long.

This โ€œFree Saturdayโ€ is part of a recurring initiative to give locals a chance to enjoy one of the Lowcountryโ€™s most beloved outdoor attractions without spending a dime. To gain free entry, residents just need to show proof of Berkeley County residency, such as a photo ID or a utility or tax bill.

Normally, admission to Cypress Gardens costs $10 for adults, $6.50 for kids ages 6โ€“17, and $9 for seniors and military members. But on June 14, those fees are waived for locals wanting to explore the parkโ€™s 170 acres of natural beauty.

Located in Moncks Corner, Cypress Gardens is a scenic, swampy paradise offering boat rides through cypress-tupelo swamps, butterfly and reptile houses, and miles of walking trails. Itโ€™s a favorite for nature lovers, families, and anyone who enjoys a peaceful escape just minutes from home.

The park will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the last admission at 4 p.m. If youโ€™ve been meaning to check out the blooming water lilies, spot an alligator, or just take a relaxing stroll, this is your chance to do it for free.
