
BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – Mark your calendars and grab your ID—Cypress Gardens is rolling out the welcome mat for Berkeley County residents on Saturday, June 14, offering free admission all day long.
This “Free Saturday” is part of a recurring initiative to give locals a chance to enjoy one of the Lowcountry’s most beloved outdoor attractions without spending a dime. To gain free entry, residents just need to show proof of Berkeley County residency, such as a photo ID or a utility or tax bill.

Normally, admission to Cypress Gardens costs $10 for adults, $6.50 for kids ages 6–17, and $9 for seniors and military members. But on June 14, those fees are waived for locals wanting to explore the park’s 170 acres of natural beauty.

Located in Moncks Corner, Cypress Gardens is a scenic, swampy paradise offering boat rides through cypress-tupelo swamps, butterfly and reptile houses, and miles of walking trails. It’s a favorite for nature lovers, families, and anyone who enjoys a peaceful escape just minutes from home.

The park will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the last admission at 4 p.m. If you’ve been meaning to check out the blooming water lilies, spot an alligator, or just take a relaxing stroll, this is your chance to do it for free.
