
BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – Berkeley County deputies are asking for the public’s help in locating Jeffrey Strickland after he fled from a traffic stop earlier this week.
According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, deputies attempted to pull over a vehicle Strickland was driving on Wednesday. Instead of stopping, Strickland allegedly led them on a pursuit that ended when he drove off-road onto a trail in the Windwood area and then fled into nearby woods on foot.

Strickland’s passenger, identified as his uncle, cooperated with deputies and revealed that his nephew didn’t stop because he has multiple outstanding warrants. The uncle also claimed that when he asked to be let out of the vehicle during the chase, Strickland told him to “shut the [expletive] up.”

Deputies say they are still working to locate Strickland and are urging anyone with information to call (843) 719-4505. Tips can be submitted anonymously.
