BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – A toddler found alone at the Slate Apartments in Nexton has been reunited with his parents or guardians, according to an update from the Summerville Police Department.

Authorities announced Sunday evening that the child’s family had been located and thanked the public for sharing the original alert.

The juvenile male, believed to be about 1 to 2 years old, was found earlier in the day, prompting a community-wide effort to help identify and locate his caregivers.
