Man Killed in Late-Night Crash at Intersection: Berkeley County Coroner

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – A 27-year-old man from North Carolina was killed in a single-vehicle crash late Saturday night at a Charleston intersection, according to the Berkeley County Sheriffโ€™s Office.

The Berkeley County Coronerโ€™s Office was notified of the fatal collision at approximately 11:55 p.m. on November 23 at the intersection of Clements Ferry Road and Marina Drive, officials said.

The driver and only occupant of the vehicle was identified as Enmanuel Cortes Moreno, 27, of North Carolina. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and the coroner ruled that he died from injuries sustained in the crash.

The Charleston Police Department and the Berkeley County Coronerโ€™s Office are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Berkeley County EMS and the Charleston Fire Department also responded to the scene and assisted in the incident, authorities said.
