MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – The Moncks Corner Police Department will undergo an on-site assessment January 28–29, 2026, as part of the state accreditation process conducted by South Carolina Law Enforcement Accreditation, Inc., town officials recently announced.
The assessment is a key step in determining whether the department meets established professional standards covering policies and procedures, administration, operations, and support services. Accreditation is designed to promote accountability, consistency, and best practices across law enforcement agencies statewide.

As part of the review, community members are being invited to provide written comments regarding the department’s ability to comply with accreditation standards. Officials say public feedback is an important component of the process and helps evaluators gain a broader understanding of the department’s relationship with the community it serves.
