BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – All Berkeley County Government offices will open at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 2. This includes all county government offices, the courthouse, landfill, convenience centers, library branches, and Cypress Gardens. Bond court will only have one session on Monday at 9 a.m.
Where possible, prior to opening on Monday, County operations will continue virtually; additionally, several county government services will remain available online through departmental webpages. The public can also access information specific to their county services at any time through the Berkeley County portal.
The public is encouraged to avoid roadways and unnecessary travel Sunday evening as temperatures dip below freezing overnight and early Monday morning. On Saturday, Berkeley County Roads and Bridges crews have been clearing off roadways around the county and will continue throughout the evening. Crews are also salting ice patches on county roadways and assisting SCDOT as needed.
The Countyโs Emergency Operations Center (EOC) remains at OPCON 2, which reflects a potential emergency or disaster occurring. The EOC will return to OPCON 3, normal operating conditions, at 6 p.m. on Sunday.

REPORTING DAMAGE: Any structural damage from winter weather sustained by a residence or business should be reported HERE or via the Citizen Call Line at 843-719-4800and leave a detailed message.
