Julian Samuel Turner, 31, of Moncks Corner, was taken into custody on February 9, 2026, and faces three felony charges tied to the alleged possession of sexually explicit material depicting minors.

According to the Attorney General’s Office, investigators with the state’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force launched the investigation after receiving a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Authorities say the tip ultimately led them to Turner.

Investigators allege Turner possessed files containing artificial intelligence-generated child sexual abuse material. Officials did not release additional details about the nature or volume of the files.

Turner is charged with three counts of possession of a visual depiction or representation of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct, activity, or nudity. Under South Carolina law, each count is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

The investigation involved multiple agencies, including the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, the Moncks Corner Police Department, and Homeland Security Investigations, all of which are members of the state’s ICAC Task Force.

The South Carolina Attorney General’s Office will prosecute the case.

Attorney General Wilson emphasized that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
