According to Mayor Thomas Hamilton, the new business represents a major transformation of the space and an investment in youth athletics and community engagement.
“This achievement is a testament to the dedication and vision of the family who brought this business to life, and it is truly impressive,” Hamilton said in a social media post following the ceremony.

The Dugout features more than 5,000 square feet of turfed and netted training space with more than 10 batting cages equipped with automatic and self-feed pitching machines for both baseball and softball. The facility also includes a large 20-by-65-foot HitTrax lane with ceilings exceeding 15 feet, allowing athletes to analyze their swing mechanics using technology that captures and evaluates performance data.
Through a mobile app, players can reserve batting cage time or schedule coaching sessions covering pitching, hitting and fielding. The data-driven system provides personalized recommendations to help athletes improve their technique.

In addition to training space, the facility offers more than 2,000 square feet of retail space selling baseball and softball equipment, apparel and sports cards.
A second-floor viewing area overlooking the training floor includes televisions, seating areas and games, providing a place for families to watch athletes practice or host private events and parties.
The Dugout also plans to offer elite instruction from current and former college and professional players, along with award-winning coaches specializing in baseball, softball and speed and agility training.

Town officials say the new business adds another recreational and family-oriented destination to Moncks Corner’s growing Main Street district.
Residents are encouraged to visit the facility, explore its training programs and retail offerings, and support the locally owned business as it begins operations in the community.
