BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Cross, Goose Creek and Timberland High Schools are on U.S. News & World Reportโ€™s 2015 Best High Schools list. The three schools were awarded bronze medals based on studentsโ€™ performance on state assessments and how well each school prepares students for college.

Excited about the announcement, Principal Adrian Busch of Cross High School said, โ€œItโ€™s a tremendous accolade, and Iโ€™m ecstatic for my students, faculty and our community at large. They all work tirelessly to support Cross High School. To see everyoneโ€™s intense labor bear fruit is truly fulfilling.โ€

Principal Jimmy Huskey of Goose Creek High School said, โ€œWe are excited to be listed on the report! We feel we have a well-rounded school where students can be successful in rigorous AP courses, college-level classes and still other course offerings that prepare them for the workforce and provide job placement opportunities.โ€

Proud of the progress being made at his school and how students are excelling, Principal Kerry Daugherty of Timberland High said, โ€œTimberland High is honored to receive this recognition. In the words of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, โ€˜The test of progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much, it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little.โ€™ This is what we strive for and I am very happy that those efforts have been recognized.โ€
