Coroner: Summerville Man Killed In Hit And Run On Highway 17A

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury, on July 12th at 3:09 a.m. 29-year-old Jordan Gailey of Summerville was struck by a hit and run vehicle on 17-A near Farmington Road.

He was transported to MUSC in Charleston where he died at 10:14 a.m.

The accident is under investigation by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Salisbury says more information will be released as it becomes available.
