Motorcyclist Killed In Head On Collision With Car In Cane Bay Area

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to Berkeley County Corner Bill Salisbury, on Wednesday at 5:46 a.m. he responded to Old State Road near Cane Bay for an accident.

Salisbury says 27-year-old Maxwell Mackey of Cane Bay was riding his motorcycle west on Old State Road when he was struck head-on by a sedan going east.

He died at the scene.  The coroner says Mackey was wearing his helmet.

The accident is being investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
