Salisbury says 27-year-old Maxwell Mackey of Cane Bay was riding his motorcycle west on Old State Road when he was struck head-on by a sedan going east.
He died at the scene. ย The coroner says Mackey was wearing his helmet.
The accident is being investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
