BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury, his office was notified of a death at Trident Hospital Sunday, August 9, at 2 a.m.
Luther Woodard Cribb III, 51, of Ladson was transported to Trident from a convenience store on highway 17A in the Summerville area of Berkeley County, Salisbury added.
He died from a gunshot wound and an autopsy will be conducted later, the coroner stated.
The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office are conducting an investigation into the death.
Salisbury says more information will be released after the autopsy.
