GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–GCPD investigators say they continue to follow leads in the Earl Johnson housing fraud investigation.

Police say they have identified 11 cases that are being investigated related to Johnson and his conspirators illegally renting homes over which they have no legal rights.

Investigators say they have shared information with other local authorities who are developing similar cases and are consulting with federal authorities.

According to investigators, additional charges against Johnson will likely follow.

Most recently, they say it was discovered that Johnson, using a makeshift letterhead in the name “Eagle’s Nest Foundation ‐ A Division of EJ Organization,” solicited items from Lowe’s under the premise of a “Neighborhood Stabilization” initiative.

Here is a copy of the letter:

Lowe’s did not provide any of the requested items, police say.

Investigators are asking any citizens or merchants that may have received similar letters to notify GCPD and to not make any donations.

You can contact the Goose Creek Police Department at (843) 863-5200.

Police recently arrested Johnson for renting out foreclosed houses that he has no legal rights to.
