BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–A Moncks Corner man has died following a traffic accident on North Main Street (Hwy. 17A), according to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury.
Salisbury stated that the accident happened around 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
He identified the driver as Edward Milton Thornley IV, 37, of Moncks Corner.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Thornley’s death was ruled accidental, and he was not wearing a seat belt, the coroner stated.
The accident was investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
