GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–Sponsorships are available for the City of Goose Creek Recreation Department’s Therapeutic Fishing Rodeo. The free event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12 at the Municipal Center.

Goose Creek Recreation and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources are hosting the third annual rodeo, which is for people of all ages with disabilities.
Les Warner, a member of and the event’s founder, said he hopes to see an increase in participation this year.
“I fish at the lake behind the Municipal Center all the time, and it gives all of us a chance to get out of the house and enjoy a day of fishing and free food,” he said.
A barbecue lunch is provided. No pets, coolers or alcohol are allowed. A limited amount of bait and fishing rods are provided, so participants are encouraged to bring their own.
