BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–The man killed in a two-vehicle crash in Moncks Corner has been identified.

On 7/15/17 at 3 p.m., 63-year-old Donald S Mackenzie, Jr. of Bonneau died in a traffic accident on highway 17-A north of Moncks Corner.

Authorities say his truck ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by Chief Deputy Coroner George Oliver.

Troopers say a Cadillac was forced to swerve to the right to avoid  Mackenzie’s truck. In the process, the driver of that vehicle also struck a tree.

Troopers say five people in the Cadillac were transported to the hospital.
