27-Month-Old Child Fatally Struck By Car Identified

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office has released the identity of a child struck by a car on Sunday.

According to Coroner Bill Salisbury, the child has been identified as 27-month old Royalty Adams of Tabby Creek Circle.

She was pronounced dead at Trident Hospital in North Charleston.

The auto-pedestrian accident occurred shortly before 1 p.m., less than a mile from Sangaree Elementary School near Summerville.

The incident is still under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
