Berkeley County to Open Five Shelters

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – Berkeley County will open five shelters today at 10 a.m.

The following shelters will be open to Berkeley County residents.

โ€ข Westview Middle School โ€“ 101 Westview Middle School Goose Creek, SC 29445
โ€ข Berkeley Middle School โ€“ 320 N Live Oak Drive Moncks Corner, SC 29461
โ€ข Cane Bay High School (Animal-friendly shelter)โ€“ 1624 State Road Summerville, SC 29483
โ€ข St. Stephen Elementary โ€“ 1053 Russellville Road St. Stephen, SC 29479

Additionally, there will be a medical special needs shelter opened. Please contact S.C.D.H.E.C. for more information at 855-472-3432.

Tri-County Link will provide transportation to shelters to those in need of transportation. Please call the Berkeley County citizen information line to request transportation.

That number is 843-719-4800. The citizen information line will now be open 24 hours a day through the duration of the storm.
