Berkeley County Deputy, K-9 Involved In Minor Crash

A Summerville woman has been arrested following a shooting and hours-long standoff in the Summerville area of Berkeley County, according to the Berkeley County Sheriffโ€™s Office. (FILE)

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – A Berkeley County deputy and his K-9 suffered minor injuries Saturday night after the driver of another vehicle rear-ended the duo’s police cruiser.

The crash happened at approximately 7 p.m. on Bethera Road in the Bonneau area, Live 5 News reported.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is the investigating agency.

It’s not clear whether charges have been filed in connection with the crash.
