BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – The driver of an SUV has died following a collision with a tractor-trailer Tuesday morning near Ridgeville in Berkeley County.
According to Lance Cpl. Nick Pye with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 9:05 a.m. on S.C. 27 near Garden Court.
Pye said a tractor-trailer was traveling north on S.C. 27 as a 1999 Ford SUV drove south on the same highway.
As some point, the two crashed into one another, killing the driver of the SUV.
It was not immediately clear what caused the collision. The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
