Man killed after truck runs off road near Bonneau

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to Berkeley Co. Coroner Bill Salisbury, 41-year-old Gary Edwin Simmons was traveling on Harristown Road near Bonneau when his truck ran off the roadway and overturned around 7:30 a.m. on Monday.

Salisbury say Simmons was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead on the scene.

He added that his death has been ruled accidental.

The accident was investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the SC Highway Patrol.
