MONCKS CORNER, S.C. — Break out the green shirts you only wear once a year and prepare for some likely questionable dance moves in public: St. Patrick’s Day shenanigans are officially on the calendar in Moncks Corner.
Town leaders announced that Randall Fowler will bring live music — and a healthy dose of noise — to Unity Park on March 7, from noon to 3 p.m., just in time to derail productivity for the rest of the afternoon.
The plan is simple: live tunes, St. Patrick’s Day vibes, and an excuse to sit in a lawn chair pretending you totally meant to stay all afternoon. Town officials are urging residents to grab friends, don green attire of varying green fashion quality, and enjoy what’s being billed as a laid-back community party.

Unity Park will serve as the backdrop for the midday festivities, continuing Moncks Corner’s push to turn public spaces into places where neighbors gather, music plays, and someone inevitably says, “Just one more song.”

Residents are encouraged to follow event updates online, though organizers hint the real surprise will be seeing who actually pulls off green socks, a green shirt, and confidence — all at the same time.
In short: free music, fresh air, and licensed shenanigans. Moncks Corner has spoken.
