MONCKS CORNER, S.C. โ A routine morning stop in Moncks Corner turned into a life-changing moment for one Lowcountry man who picked up a lottery ticket along with a drink and walked away $200,000 richer.
The man, who has not been publicly identified, bought a $5 โMy Money Makerโ scratch-off at the 52 Station convenience store on Old Highway 52 while heading to work. He told South Carolina Education Lottery officials he figured he might win his money back โ not hit a massive payday.
โIt was pretty cool,โ the winner said after cashing in the ticket.

Despite the surprise windfall, the Moncks Corner stop-and-go millionaire didnโt even pause to celebrate. Instead, he continued on to work like any other day.

Lottery officials later caught up with him after the ticket was redeemed. He said he plans to invest the prize money and keep playing.
The odds of winning the $200,000 top prize in the My Money Maker game are 1 in 900,000. One top prize still remains unclaimed.
The 52 Station in Moncks Corner, where the winning ticket was sold, received a $2,000 commission for the sale.
