BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. โ The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is asking for public feedback on a proposed bridge replacement project along Cypress Gardens Road, a key route in Berkeley County.
According to SCDOT, the project would replace the existing bridge on S-9 over Canterhill Swamp, citing structural deficiencies that have raised concerns about long-term safety and reliability. Transportation officials say the upgrade is designed to bring the bridge and surrounding roadway up to current engineering and safety standards.
