County officials say the project will extend the existing water main currently located on Halter Drive. The work will also include installing six- and eight-inch water lines along Imperial Drive, Deer Point Drive and North Highway 52 in St. Stephen.
Construction is expected to begin April 6, 2026, with the project anticipated to be completed by January 2027.

Berkeley County Council approved awarding the project to Williams Infrastructure LLC during its Feb. 9 meeting.
County officials say the meeting will give residents a chance to learn more about the project and ask questions about the planned construction and timeline.
