The project represents Woodfieldโs 20th residential development in the Charleston region, where the company says it has built more than 4,600 housing units over the past two decades, representing more than $1.2 billion in development.
Expanding housing options in a growing area
Located in Nexton, the new townhomes are part of continued residential growth along the Interstate 26 corridor in Berkeley County โ an area that has seen steady population increases in recent years.
Developers say the project is intended to add rental housing options in a market where demand remains strong.
The townhomes will range from two to four bedrooms, with floor plans between roughly 1,700 and 2,400 square feet. Construction is expected to be completed in late 2027.
Amenities and design
According to developers, the homes will include features such as quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances and walk-in closets. Some units will also include private yards.
Residents will have access to amenities located at The Radler, including a pool, fitness center, coworking space, outdoor gathering areas and recreational facilities.
Part of a larger master-planned community
Nexton is a 4,500-acre master-planned development located about 25 miles northwest of Charleston. The community includes a mix of housing, retail, office space and public green space.
At full buildout, plans for Nexton include thousands of residential units, commercial development and miles of trails and parks. The area is also located near several major employers, including Joint Base Charleston and Boeing.
Ongoing development in Berkeley County
The project is being financed by Pinnacle Bank. The development team also includes Center Park Group as general contractor, along with other design and engineering partners.
โWeโre excited to be building in Nexton alongside Woodfield, a developer that has played a major role in shaping the Charleston regionโs housing landscape,โ said Jason Esposito, founder of Center Park Group. โThis community represents the kind of residential product we believe the market needs more of โ well-designed homes, built efficiently, in highly walkable locations that connect residents to jobs, retail, and everyday amenities.โ
Developers say the project reflects continued investment in Berkeley County, where growth has driven new housing construction across several communities. At the same time, discussions around infrastructure, traffic and affordability continue as the area expands.
