CROSS, S.C.–According to a spokesperson with The American Red Cross, volunteersย assisted one adult whose residence on Breeze Lane in Cross was destroyed by fire Monday afternoon.
The Cross Countyย Fire Department responded to the blaze.
The Red Cross provided the victim with financial assistance for food and clothing as well as aย comfort kitย containing personal hygiene items.
Last year the Palmetto South Carolina Region assisted 7,118 individuals affected by disaster.
