BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–For the very first time, some BCSD students were exposed to new and exciting cultures.
On Tuesday, College Park Middle School hosted their first Culture Night. Students and families from other nationalities were invited to attend and pr
ovide a native dish.
College Park Middle also created resource packets for their ESOL (English speakers of other languages) families including Spanish speaking health care professionals, counselors and adult ESOL classes.
For students, this was a chance to learn about other people in their community who come from many different backgrounds.
While this was a first time event, school leaders hope to host a similar event in the future.
