MONCKS CORNER, SC – Berkeley County Supervisor-Elect Bill Peagler announced the leadership team for his new administration on Tuesday.

“I am proud to have assembled a team of top-level talent committed to my vision for our county – improving Berkeley’s economy, improving our residents’ trust in government, and improving the quality of life for our citizens,” said Peagler.  “I am grateful for their commitment to serve our county and look forward to working with them next year.”

Marc Hehn, who has served as Moncks Corner Town Administrator under Peagler for the last seven years, will serve as the County’s Deputy Supervisor for General Services.  Hehn previously directed Berkeley County’s Water and Sanitation Authority for twenty years and led Dorchester County as County Administrator.  A past Chairman of the Berkeley County GIS Consortium, Hehn is a recipient of the National Association of Counties’ Achievement Award and the Berkeley County Soil and Water Conservation District’s Conservation Award.

Barry Jurs, the Economic Development Facilities Planner for Santee Cooper, will lead the county’s economic development efforts.  Jurs has experience working with all of South Carolina’s 46 counties, the SC Department of Commerce, the SC State Ports Authority, regional alliances and existing industries to promote job growth.

Jurs is a member of the SC Economic Developers Association and the International Economic Development Council, and he serves as the Executive Director of the Lord Berkeley Conservation Trust and the Vice-Chairman of the Berkeley Soil and Water Conservation District.

Former Ninth Circuit Assistant Solicitor John O. Williams will serve as County Attorney.  A Moncks Corner native, Williams was a law clerk for the Honorable R. Markley Dennis, Jr. and is presently in private practice with Williams & Hulst.

Peagler, currently mayor of Moncks Corner, was elected the county’s newest supervisor in July.

  1. Patriot made wrong turn to BC

I applaud Supervisor Peagler in his efforts to curb Berkeley County Corruption, FRAUD, Waste, And ABUSE. As a job creating transplant to this county in 2000, I’ve been “snookered” out of my retirement savings in a fraudulent property conveyance (and enslaved by said “life estate” scam unleashed upon this trusting and charitable soul with money). The BC govt Insider perps (including former BCSO Deputy who enlisted De Witt, Bagget, and Polk to fraudulently seize my paid for homes when he forced me to defend myself on the front porch of the home I paid his mother for, while they trashed the brand new home I bought for their mother 5 years earlier). Where I come from, “the city of good neighbors”, FRAUD is FRAUD. Unfortunately, here in Berkeley County, if you are a BC insider whose in good standing with the shrine club, FRAUD is legal, as enforced by BCSO (regardless of your repeated and ignored calls to their detectives, video of their former deputy and cubscout son trashing your homes, and vowing to “catch him a big chicken”).

I have faith that Mr. Peagler can prevent other christian newcomers to Berkeley County from being victimized by Berkeley County Govt insiders in good standing with the shrine club.

  2. Another Deceived Yankee

Unfortunately, Mr Peagler has yet to respond to my highly significant concern, that John Williams, former 9th circuit solicitor dep, of Williams and Hulst, is the same man that was paid by my beneficiary, with my money, to create 2 legal docs which legislated THIS LEGITIMATE PROPERTY BUYERS rights away from me, WITHOUT MY SIGNATURE ON EITHER document.

Supervisor Peagler, please feel free to contact me, an aero job creating good samaritan, who is highly politically active in the tea party, to discuss the rampant corruption amongst Berkeley County insiders ranging from former BCSO crooked cops, his mother’s corrupt magistrate network, and her lawyer who used my money to defraud me of my paid for property, so that same shrine club FRAUD FAMILY could enslave me, batter me and my property, then, as promised, use their crooked Sheriff DeWitt friend, Bagget, and Polk cronies to lock in their FRAUD.

My book on Berkeley County Corruption will make this corrupt county famous. With any luck, it might just pay for the 300K in fraud and surgeries the insider trash has cost me
