KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C.—A Daniel Island man has plenty to smile about these days. He now has a nice new ride—and a pricey one at that!
On Friday, Juan Acevedo won a 2015 Maserati Ghibli after hitting a hole-in-one at the 17th hole of the Kiawah Island Club River Course.
The luxury vehicle features a sport package with front and rear performance tires; a fuel efficient state of the art engine; elegantly stitched leather interior and touch control dashboard: driver and passenger power seating; and a sun roof and moon roof—and the list goes on.
Acevedo, a guest at the tournament, won’t get the car permanently, but he’ll at least get to enjoy a two-year prepaid lease on the vehicle.
“I’m thrilled that Baker Motor Company was a hole in one sponsor of this event. I’m thankful I had the opportunity to participate and honored to be the winner of this vehicle,” stated Acevedo. “I would also like to thank the staff at Kiawah Island Club for putting on such an incredible first class event.”
Organizers stated that until Friday, it had been almost a decade since anyone had won the hole-in-won contest.
