BerkeleyMeansBusiness.com Becomes Latest Tool in Job Recruitment Efforts for County

MONCKS CORNER, SC – Berkeley County Supervisor Bill Peagler announced this morning the launch of BerkeleyMeansBusiness.com, a new website for the county’s Economic Development Office and the latest tool in business and job recruitment efforts for the county.

“As I have said for the past several months: ‘Berkeley County is open for business, and Berkeley County means business,’” said Peagler. “We have taken this new motto for the county and transformed it into a website we are confident will help with business and job recruitment efforts.”

The website’s homepage prominently features the new motto in a picture with Governor Nikki Haley and Peagler. The homepage also features a new commitment tracker of jobs and investments since January 1, 2015, when Peagler and his Administration took office.

BerkeleyMeansBusiness.com highlights areas that potential businesses are most concerned about – available land and buildings, tax structure and incentives, workforce and quality of life. The website also includes information on the latest economic development announcements in Berkeley County including that of Volvo, Cabela’s and Gerber Childrenswear.

The cost of the website was limited to that of the purchase of the domain, as it was developed entirely in house by Economic Development Office Intern Phillip Habib and Public Information Officer Michael Mule’ with the support of the county’s IT Department
