Coroner: Man Struck And Killed On Highway 17A In Jamestown

The man’s death has been ruled accidental.

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.—According to Berkeley County Chief Deputy George Oliver, 28-year-old Keon Shawntell Moultrie was lying in the roadway on Highway 17-A when he was struck by a vehicle early Sunday at 3:33 a.m.

Oliver stated that Moultrie died on the scene from head trauma.

His death has been ruled accidental.

Authorities have not stated why Moultrie was in the roadway prior to being struck by the vehicle.

The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol conducted the investigation.
