Goose Creek Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charge

GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of 58-year-old James Keller Volz of Goose Creek, S.C., on one charge connected to sexual exploitation of minors.

The Goose Creek Police Department, a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, made the arrest.

Investigators state that Volz uploaded child pornography to a social networking website.

Volz was arrested on August 22, 2016.

He is charged with one (1) count of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, Third Degree (§16-15-410), a felony offense punishable by up to ten (10) years of imprisonment on each count.

The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.

Attorney General Wilson stressed all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law
