MONCKS CORNER, SC – Berkeley County officials recently announced its new campaign “Keep Berkeley Beautiful,” joining the Keep America Beautiful affiliate.

A kick-off meeting will be held Monday, February 13 at 1 pm in Council Chambers of the Administrative Building, located at 1003 Highway 52 in Moncks Corner. The meeting is to help the county obtain its membership with Keep America Beautiful (KAB).

Berkeley County Council will then recognize the group, with a brief statement from Supervisor Bill Peagler, at the beginning of the County Council Meeting, beginning at 6 pm.

“As Berkeley County continues to grow and thrive, we want to make sure the beauty of the area is our lasting signature,” said Berkeley County Supervisor Bill Peagler. “Joining this national campaign, and encouraging participation from community members, we hope to beautify the place we call home and work together toward progress.”

The purpose of Keep Berkeley Beautiful is to promote the cleanliness and beautification of Berkeley County through education, public awareness and community/volunteer involvement.
