Motorcyclist ID’d Following Fatal Collision With Deputy’s Vehicle & Car

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a collision that left one person dead Wednesday night.

Troopers say just before midnight,  a motorcycle, a Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office Ford Explorer, and a Dodge Neon car collided on South Main Street near Richardson Avenue.

“The motorcyclist killed in a collision with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Deputy on Main Street in Summerville last night has been identified as Robert Lee Clark, Jr., 30, of Goose Creek,” Dorchester County Coroner Paul Brouthers stated in a news release.

The biker reportedly was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.
