BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–The Cane Bay area is still under a boil water advisory as a precautionary measure due to a line break Monday night on Cane Bay Boulevard.

The advisory is expected to last until about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Everyone impacted by the boil water advisory should have received a phone call notifying them of the situation. The areas impacted include: Lindera Preserve at Cane Bay, Hammocks, Del Webb, the Lakes and Four Seasons.

About 1,580 homes are currently under the advisory.

Crews with Berkeley County Water and Sanitation took samples Monday night, but the water needs to be clear for 24 hours before the boil water advisory can be lifted.

“We apologize for the inconvenience and will notify you as soon as the boil water advisory is lifted,” posted the agency on their official Facebook page.
