GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–A Ladson woman was taken to jail after Goose Creek police say she attempted to steal someone’s mail.
Police identified the woman as Jennifer West.
She was taken into custody after a resident in the Hamlets subdivision observed her attempting to steal mail and notified the Goose Creek Police Department.
A patrol officer located West’s black Chevrolet Sonic as she was departing the neighborhood.
Police say it was determined that in addition to the mail theft violation, she was illegally in possession of two separate prescription medications, had drug paraphernalia in her possession, had a suspended driver’s license, and was in possession of a credit card, social security card, medicare card, and Notary Public card belonging to a North Charleston victim.
