Goose Creek Robotics Team Headed to World Championship

GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–Goose Creek High School’s VEX Robotics Team accomplished something this past weekend that no other robotics team in the Lowcountry can say.

Team members will be competing in the VEX World Championship after taking second place at a 50-team state championship.

The Binary Botz, consisting of Sean Odgers (captain), Sergio Bugarin, Mario Flores, Alan Never and Devin Lawson now set their sights on the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, where the VEX robotics World Championship will be held April 25-29.

Goose Creek’s Code Charlie Team also had a strong showing at the state competition by reaching the semifinal round and finishing in the top 10 in the robot skills challenge. Code Charlie consists of Travis Campbell, Austin Hicks, Neal Capalungen and Josh Vigil.
