Winter storm prompts BCSD to cancel Tuesday after school events

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–In anticipation of the possibility of sleet and/or freezing rain tomorrow afternoon, all Berkeley County School District (BCSD) after-school activities and events for Tuesday, January 28th are cancelled. This includes ball games, club meetings, practices, day care etc.

A decision will be made later today concerning any possibility of early dismissal or the cancelling of school for tomorrow. At this time, tomorrow night’s Board of Education meeting has not been cancelled.

In the event of an additional schedule change, BCSD will keep families informed by using a variety of tools including posting updates on the district website and Facebook page, sharing information with local media outlets, and using the district’s parent notification system.
