MONCKS CORNER, S.C.–Looking for something fun to do Saturday that involves good food and men and women in uniform?

If you said ‘yes,’ then you may want to check out the very first annual Berkeley Co. Emergency Services BBQ cook-off on Saturday.

The event will take place at the Berkeley Co. training center on Reid Road (behind the Moncks Corner Walmart)

Gates will open to the public at 11 a.m. If you attend not only will you get to enjoy some good barbeque, but you’ll also get to see firefighters conduct a live burn demonstration as well.

Tickets are $10 per person and children under five get in for free.  You don’t want to miss the event.  Firefighters promise this will be the best BBQ you ever tasted!  Also, while you’re there you will get to decide whose barbeque is the best.

The barbeque will be made by the following local fire agencies: Moncks Corner Rural, Lake Moultrie Station 1 & 2, Eadytown and Macedonia.

For more information on the event, please call 843-870-8925.

The money raised from the event will got toward Berkeley Citizens, Inc.  The agency provides support and services for people living with disabilities and special needs.
