booking tours, cruises and hotels, for 2013 first quarter.

The top five locations for these AAA members, and the general public, were, Orlando, Mexico/Caribbean, Honolulu, Las Vegas and Miami.

“People wanted to put this winter behind them with positive memory,” said Sarah Henshall, vice-president of travel for AAA Carolinas.

“Everyone was so excited, telling our agents how happy they were ‘getting away’ even for just a few days and we already have seen booking skyrocket for the second quarter of this year,” said Henshall.

Numbers for travelers booking ahead have already increased from last year, and the top destinations booked are similar to last years destinations, Orlando, Europe, Mexico/Caribbean, Honolulu and Las Vegas.

Air travel and rental car reservations also saw an increase for AAA Carolinas Travel Agency this year.
