BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to the Berkeley Co. Sheriff’s Office, deputies are investigating a Berkeley Co. teacher for alleged inappropriate behavior with a student.
Sheriff spokesperson, Dan Moon, says that his office began an investigation after receiving notification from the Berkeley County School District that a teacher at Cross High School had been accused of sexual misconduct with a student.
According to the school district, the teacher has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of this investigation into these allegations.
Investigators have not released the name of the teacher nor the circumstances surrounding the case.
Moon says no further information is available until this investigation is completed.
