Two People killed in early morning collision on I-26

car crash BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.โ€”According to Berkeley Co. Coroner Bill Salisbury, 26-year-old Anthony Pascucci of New York was traveling on I-26 eastbound in the westbound lane near mile marker 188 when he struck another vehicle head-on shortly before 3 a.m. Friday.

Salisbury says the driver of that vehicle was 43-year-old Tonya Carson of North Carolina.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

The coroner says Carsonโ€™s vehicle caught fire and burned.

Salisbury says both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

The accident is being investigated by the Berkeley County Coronerโ€™s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
