MONCKS CORNER, S.C.—If you’ve traveled along Highway 52 in the heart of Moncks Corner lately, you’ve probably noticed a lot of construction taking place between the Wendy’s and BP gas station.
Construction crews recently began clearing the way for the town’s very first Chick-Fil-A.
The proposed Chick-Fil-A will be located at 601 North U.S. Highway 52 near the Walmart Supercenter.
The Charleston engineering firm, G. Robert George & Associate, Inc., is helping to spearhead building efforts.
Back in October, they submitted site plans for the town to review. They were later approved by the town’s department of planning and development.
The restaurant is expected to open sometime in early 2015.
Currently, there are two other Chick-Fil-A restaurants in Berkeley County.
One is located on St. James Avenue in Goose Creek and the other on Main Street in Summerville.
