The City of Goose Creek has launched a mobile app called “My Goose Creek” where residents can connect with their local government.

The free app, available in the iTunes App Store and Android Google Play store, gives residents quick, easy access to City information.

Officials have stated that city leaders recognize the changing demographics of younger people locating to the area and that this tech-savvy generation uses their smart phones to do so many things.

“My Goose Creek” features widgets (links) for information about City Council and programs, including city news, emergencies, jobs, recreation, events and social media. The widgets take users to mobile-enabled web pages.

Residents can still ask for help by phone or online, but “My Goose Creek” makes information as easy as possible to access in the most comfortable and convenient way for anyone living, working or visiting Goose Creek.

The new mobile app was developed by CivicPlus as part of the website redesign agreement City Council approved last year.

Residents are not obligated to download the app to access city information.

All city programs, events and information will continue to be available on the City’s website at www.cityofgoosecreek.com. For more information, contact the City’s Public Information Officer at 843-797-6220 ext.1117.
