MONCKS CORNER, S.C.–Bertha Wright, computer lab instructional assistant at Berkeley Intermediate School, won the Founders of the Future competition for teachers sponsored by Achieve3000.

Wright was selected as the Gadget Giveaway reward recipient for the week of April 20, 2015. She is one of only 24 Founders in all of Berkley County Schools.

The Founders of the Future competition is designed to recognize and reward teachers for their commitment to accelerating literacy gains for all students with Achieve3000. “Achieve 3000 is a great tool for differentiated instruction. It meets the students where they are academically. Many of our students have increased their reading fluency and Lexile scores,” said Wright.

When a teacher completes an average of eight activities per student in at least one class with an Achieve3000 literacy tool, she is invited to join Founders of the Future with prime membership.

By registering, Founders gain access to benefits like personalized weekly communication from Achieve3000 with updates and expert advice, admission to exclusive Founders-only events featuring top names in education, and the ability to rise in rank based on number of completed activities to earn more rewards.

Every completed activity earns another entry into the Gadget Giveaway, which rewards one Founder of the Future a cutting-edge technology device each week from March 1 to May 30, 2015.

Achieve3000 is located in Lakewood, New Jersey and offers web-based reading-related tools for second through twelfth grade students. The company’s believes literacy unlocks achievement and that the key to improving literacy is differentiated instruction.

Saki Dodelson, CEO of Achieve3000, said, “This reward is well deserved and I wanted to personally thank you for promoting students’ success for college and career readiness.”
